- Moon Sign - the complete predictive mechanism is based on moon sign and NOT sun sign. The moon changes its Zodiac sign in 2¼ - 2½ days compared to the sun which is stationary in a sign for 30 days. Therefore for every "12" changes in a year for the SUN, the moon changes nearly "146" times, resulting in greater accuracy of predictions.
- Complete use of your birth details : To construct a horoscope, we require the following details :
date of birth, time of birth (local time), place of birth / latitude and longitude.
The horoscope so constructed ( birth chart or natal chart) is nearly as exclusive as your fingerprints and DNA Code. The system of Indian astrology is the only one which recognizes the minute differences of births within a time difference of 2 minutes, making it possible to construct individual horoscope for identical twins, triplets, etc..
- When time / place / date of birth is unknown : In cases where birth details are not known or uncertain, Indian Astrology has a branch of predictions nearly 3000 years old in which any type of question can be answered on the basis of the TIME THE QUESTION IS POSED.
This system however has some limitations.
It works for sincere questions only. Frivolous questions throw up uncertain planetary combinations leading to an unclear answer.
Only one question in a day can be asked. Answers to multiple questions too are hazy.
The exact time, date and place of the question and the time the question was put forward to the astrologer should be available.

There are basic differences in techniques in casting birth charts by Indian (Vedic), Western, Greek, Chinese system, etc. These differences make the interpretations and predictions different and superior to other systems.
HOW INDIAN ( VEDIC ) HOROSCOPE IS SUPERIOR TO HOROSCOPES CAST IN OTHER SYSTEMS :
The birth chart cast in the Indian system is truly unique since the Indian system makes adjustments for the fact that our Zodiac / universe is moving and is not fixed - this system is being followed for more than 7000 years, proving that ancient Indians had a great grasp of astronomy much before any other civilization did.
Also, the Indian system takes into account the fact that the zodiac is epileptic and not circular due to which the twelve houses in a birth chart are not at 30 degrees each but varying according to the time of birth. Due to these differences, the birth chart cast in the Indian system would come out different from that done in any other system and would be much more accurate.
To quote an example, there could be a chart cast on the western system with Moon in Sagittarius on 10 degrees in the 9th house, making the person : wise, well-known, frank, open-minded, lucky, of international repute, happy with regard to mother.
Now, if the same birth details are used to construct the chart on the Indian system, Moon will fall in Scorpio - 17 degrees, 8th house, making the person petty, unhealthy, with complexes, having problems with his / her mother, low on talent, insignificant and having a problematic married / love life.
